A new do at two

Like others with CdLS, Hope has hair issues. Sure, her locks are adorable, but they don't always cooperate. For months last year, Hope sported a faux-hawk worthy of Glenn Danzig or other punkie poos. She gets her color from her mother's side and her fly-away, instant hat head from mine.

Lately, we've tried to solve some of the issues with hair bows. But Hope likes to eat those. We've tried bands, pigtails and jaunty caps. Eventually, she tires of dress-up and yanks them off. Over the months, Mo has tried to trim Hope's hair with mixed success. Once, a friend from overseas did a do for Hope worthy of Oooh-La-La Sassoon.

Mostly, though, we've washed it, combed it and hoped for the best. This week, we did what we should have done months ago: Taken her to a salon and done her up right.

OMG!!! That was excellent. Love the haircut and sugar is always a good way to distract. Loved when she put it into her mouth and then took it out and was like....hey...what the heck it this???
She is so cute.

So, of course, what was the first thing her grandma said when she saw Hope on Skype this morning? "Oh, you haven't had the haircut yet."

In my defense, it was early morning, and Joel hadn't gotten out the hairbrush.

I'll bet she loved the blow-dry almost as much as the lolly. Good going, guys! She looks great!

Love from Maine,

Ohmigosh seriously.....I cannot stand it! That was just the cutest thing to watch. I was so proud to see her sitting in the chair enjoying a sucker.

And watching her get a blow-out was so precious...Pam is going to flip when she sees that!

I have loved all the various stages of her hair but now she looks like a little lady and makes me love her cuteness even more.
Thanks for sharing!

That was really one of the best videos I've seen in a long time! too cute. Loved the "bad hair moments" and the music. We learned early on that we had to get Liz's hair professionally cut when after a bad parent haircut her nuerosurgeon took one look and said: "What did they do to your hair girl? They butchered it."

It was off to the hair salon after that. Hope really looks like such a big girl - a toddler.

Best video EVER! Oooh, I'm going to be hearing "Hair" in my head all day long.

She looks great - although I always did love the Pebbles 'do.
